The borough of Ambler is located 15 miles north of Philadelphia in southeastern Pennsylvania. It is a small friendly town covering less than a square mile in area with a population of 6400. Its restaurants, shops, convenient public transportation accessibility, and a "walkable" downtown commercial district make it an ideal location for living, working and entertaining.
Act II Playhouse partners with the six restaurants in town: Agavé Grille, Bridget's 8 West, KC's Alley, La Cava Mexican Haute Cuisine, The Shanachie Irish Pub & Restaurant, and Trax Café. (for more information, see Business Partners)
Act II Playhouse works collaboratively with Ambler Main Street-a non-profit organization dedicated to making "Downtown Ambler" a social, cultural and business center-and with other local restaurants, businesses and non-profit organizations on community events, festivals, and programs throughout the year.
Ambler is conveniently located within minutes of the Pennsylvania turnpike (I-276), the Blue Route (I-476) and Route 309. SEPTA's Route 94 and 98 busses and the R5 Commuter train also serve it. Ambler Borough offers free meter parking every Sunday as well as December 15 through January 1.
